- Schneider to provide its EVlink electric vehicle charging solutions at several locations nationwide
- Revolta aims to offer charging units in 7 governorates in the project’s first phase
Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, has signed a deal aiming to promote electric vehicle technology in Egypt with Revolta Egypt, the country’s first provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The deal was announced on Sunday as Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil opened the country’s first charging unit at the state-run Wataniya gas station on the Cairo-Suez road.
Under the deal, Schneider will be providing its EVlink electric vehicle charging solutions at several locations nationwide.
The first phase of the partnership will offer 65 charging units covering seven Egyptian governorates, allowing electric vehicle owners to charge their cars at service stations, shopping malls, restaurants, clubs, cinemas, work and universities.
Revolta has already teamed up with oil giant Total, state-owned Wataniya stations and the American University in Cairo, and Schneider Electric will assist the company roll-out its expansion plan to include shopping malls, sporting clubs and more service stations.
Revoltawill be the country’s first provider of electrical vehicles, offering a range of premium battery-powered Hyundai and Tesla cars.
The company is planning to soon open its electric car showroom on the outskirts of Cairo, the first in Egypt and the Middle East. It seeks to sell some 1,000 vehicles in Egypt in 2018.

وقعت شنايدر إليكتريك، الشركة المتخصصة عالميا في إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الآلي، اتفاقية لتعزيز تكنولوجيا المركبات الكهربائية في مصر، مع شركة ريفولتا مصر، الرائدة في بناء أول بنية تحتية للسيارات الكهربائية في مصر.
وزير التجارة والصناعة م. طارق قابيل يفتتح اليوم أول شبكة شحن للسيارات الكهربائية فى مصر بمحطات شركة وطنية بحضور م. شريف عبد الفتاح عضو مجلس إدارة ونائب رئيس شركة شنايدر إلكتريك للشئون الحكومية و الطاقة المتجددة، و م. طارق وهبي نائب رئيس شركة شنايدر إلكتريك لقطاع التوزيع.
وستقوم شنايدر إليكتريك، بموجب الإتفاقية الجديدة بتقديم حلول شحن السيارات الكهربائية EVlink في العديد من المحافظات المصرية، وصرح المهندس وليد شتا، الرئيس الإقليمى لشركة شنايدر إليكتريك مصر وشمال شرق افريقيا والمشرق العربى: “ان المرحلة الأولى من الاتفاقية تشمل إقامة 65 وحدة لشحن السيارات في 7 محافظات مصرية، بهدف تمكين أصحاب المركبات الكهربائية من شحن سياراتهم في محطات الوقود ومراكز التسوق والمطاعم والنوادي ودور السينما ومواقع العمل والجامعات”.
وتتعاون شركة ريفولتا، مع محطات وطنية و مختلف الجامعات المصرية والاسواق التجارية، وقامت مؤخرا بالتعاون مع شنايدر إليكتريك مصر لتحصل علي الدعم اللازم لتنفيذ خطتها التوسعية لتشمل مراكز التسوق والنوادي الرياضية ومحطات الوقود. وستكون ريفولتا أول مورد للسيارات الكهربائية في الأسواق المصرية من خلال تقديمها مجموعة من سيارات هيونداي وتيسلا الكهربائية والتي تعمل بالكهربا وتهدف ريفولتا إلى بيع نحو 1000 سيارة كهربائية في مصر خلال عام 2018.
