Lamia Kamel is a leading Egyptian strategic communications executive, political communications advisor, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience shaping national and international narratives across government, culture, business, and media
She is the Founder and Managing Director of CC Plus, one of Egypt's leading corporate communications and public affairs consultancies operating across local and regional markets. Lamia advises governments, institutions, and senior business leaders on reputation management, political communication, crisis strategy, and long-term narrative positioning, integrating global political, economic, and cultural trends into forward-looking communications strategies.
In recognition of her expertise, Lamia was appointed Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Promotion (2021–2022). In this role, she oversaw promotional and communication strategies for all entities under the ministry, including national and international advertising campaigns, high-profile events and ceremonies, media relations, and crisis communications.

WorldwideShe played a strategic role in the communications and international positioning of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), contributing to narrative development, stakeholder engagement, and global media visibility surrounding one of the most significant cultural projects of the 21st century. She also moderated and curated high-level public conversations at the museum, including a landmark on-stage session bringing together Naguib Sawiris, H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, and Hassan Allam, addressing Egypt’s economic vision, private-sector leadership, and national development.
Lamia is a member of the Cairo Media Forum Committee, contributing to the strategic direction and content development of one of Egypt’s most important platforms for media leadership and dialogue. She is also a member of the Alexandria Biennale Committee, contributing to the revival and curation of one of Egypt’s most prominent contemporary art events.
In 2006, Lamia founded CC Plus as a boutique PR firm, which has since grown into one of Egypt’s most respected communications consultancies. In 2016, she launched the Narrative PR Summit, now a leading regional platform dedicated to strategic communications and nation branding, having delivered five editions under the patronage of Egypt’s Cabinet.
She is the Founder of Al Rawi – The Storyteller Award, an initiative dedicated to discovering and empowering emerging Egyptian storytellers and positioning narrative as a strategic national and cultural asset.
Lamia has moderated and conducted on-stage interviews with leading Egyptian and regional figures, including business leader Mohamed Mansour and renowned jewelry designer Azza Fahmy, curating conversations at the intersection of leadership, creativity, heritage, and global influence.
A pioneer in political and institutional communication in Egypt, Lamia has served as a communications strategist on several of the country’s most high-profile national campaigns. Her work includes advisory roles during H.E. Amr Moussa’s presidential campaign and H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s electoral campaign, as well as leading strategic communications for Al Ahly Sporting Club, Egypt’s leading football institution, during its major national and international campaigns in 2017 and 2021.
Internationally, Lamia is a frequent speaker at global platforms, including Forum Media – Central Europe’s Media Forum, where she has spoken on nation branding, political communications, and Egypt’s evolving global narrative.
In 2019, Lamia acquired Flair Magazine, leading its digital transformation and international positioning. Under her leadership, Flair was named among the Top 50 Best Luxury Media Platforms worldwide for 2023.
She is also the co-founder of Global Narrative, a strategic communications firm specializing in leadership profiling, geopolitical positioning, strategic storytelling, and regional outreach.
Lamia’s achievements have been recognized with multiple honors, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Onsi Sawiris School of Business at the American University in Cairo (Spring 2025) and the THE BIZZ 2023 Award from the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB) for excellence in business leadership.
Earlier in her career, Lamia worked with Vodafone Egypt (during its market entry), PETRONAS, American Insurance Group (AIG), ICTDAR, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She lectures at The American University in Cairo (AUC) and Misr International University (MIU),and serves as a strategy consultant to major Egyptian companies seeking to align with international governance and communication standards.
Lamia holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from The American University in Cairo, and has completed advanced professional training in creative PR campaigns and crisis management in London, UK.
