Janssen collaborates with the Egyptian MOH to help cure 27,000 Patients Using OLYSIO™ as Part of the

Today, Janssen, one of the global Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical companies, announced donating 82 thousand and 200 Olysio (Simeprevir) packs to the Egyptian Ministry of Health. The value of the said donation is estimated by LE108 million. OLYSIO™ (Simeprevir), is one of Janssen's key products an NS3/4A protease inhibitor, for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C. The National Committee for the Control and Prevention of Viral Hepatitis shall carry out the distribution of donated Olysio in order to help in treating 27,000 patients with Hepatitis C Virus.
The media conference was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Emad El Din Rady, Minister of Health and Population, in addition to prominent liver doctors in Egypt led by Dr. Yahya El Shazly, Professor and Head of the Hepatology Department, Ain Shams University and member of the National Committee for the Control and Prevention of Viral Hepatitis, Dr. Qadri El Saeed, Executive Director of the National Committee for the Control and Prevention of Viral Hepatitis.
